Rated 1 out of 5 by from Extremely Disappointed This is my experience too except I'm not supposed to be around or use citronella but it's there see her pic, same as my package. I know the essential oil is used for different things but should be easy to read on package, not tiny. However, your website does not list this ingredient, shame on you Burt's ! Now I'm stuck with a tube of supposedly moisturizing lip balm that didn't stay on long, that I used ONCE and cannot reuse again. So much for all natural ultra lip contioning ! Trully bummed. Previous Citronellol highlighted in ingredients list 1 out of 5 stars. Buyer Beware Ladyluck a year ago I have used Burt's Bees for at least sixteen years. I saw the Burt's Bees Ultra Conditioning Moisturizing Lip Balm. I thought I would try this thinking it would be even better than the Vanilla Bean I had been using. I looked at the front of the package and saw "Rich in butters and oils that hydrate and condition dry lips". I was convinced after reading this to try it. I opened the lip balm and put some on. The smell of Citronellol was overwhelming. It made my lips feel awful! I wiped it off but had to actually wash my lips with soap and water to get rid of the smell!! Citronellol is in Citronella oil which is commonly used in candles and sprays to repel insects. If you can imagine getting any of the vapor from the candle or spray on your lips, this is what it was like! The product actually made my lips dry and burn a bit. I wish I could give the lip balm a -10 on this review. BUYER BEWARE

This is by far the best lip balm I have ever used, especially since I developed an allergy to almost all other chapstick-type products. It's very moisturizing and smooth. This is important to me as a trumpet player.

This does have a different feel to it so I can understand why some people might not want to give it a chance, BUT it has worked wonders for me. I went from suffering if I didn't apply anything every 1-2hrs to forgetting about needing anything for days at a time because my lips have been so moisturized.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from All grease, no moisture I usually buy the og minty lip balm from burts bees and it was always okay but i wanted something better so i bought this one. instead it just feels like applying grease to my lips and needing to reapply every 5 minutes. currently trying out different lip balms of many brands to see which one is the best, but this one was probably the worst so far

Rated 5 out of 5 by from thank you for this, Burt's! I get why some people give this bad reviews - they're expecting an immediate, first use miracle. Here's the thing tho: when you first start using it, you'll need to reapply it often depending on how dry your lips are, because it's working. The emollients are absorbing into your lips, but it's gonna take a bit for them to get their fill. For me, the more my lips get moisturized, the longer the balm lasts on my lips, because they're finally getting enough of what they need. I haven't found any other balm that works as quickly & with such noticeable results as this balm, I can feel my lips getting better, getting moisturized as I use it. Yes, if your lips are dry, you'll need to reapply this until they're satisfied, which may take some time, but your patience will pay off!
