Are Burt’s Bees products safe for children? In particular, the lip balm range.

Burt’s Bees products are formulated and tested for use by children over 3 years old.

Have there been any change in the formula, as the colour is not the same?

As Burt’s Bees is made with natural origin ingredients, there can sometimes be minor shade variations between harvests. If you would like to check whether there have been any formula updates, please email consumer.care@clorox.com

Will you be bringing in the makeup range to Australia?

There are not any plans in the near future to bring the makeup range to Australia. All new and coming soon products will be listed on the website.

How do I know where to find each product?

On the Burt’s Bees Australia website, each individual product page outlines where the product is available. Please note this is subject to availability and stock levels.

Can I recycle my Burt’s Bees products?

We think a lot about all the materials we use — and the ones we don’t. We try to avoid unnecessary packaging, and make sure all our packages are recyclable or reuseable. To find out more about our recycling program, click here.

Are Burt’s Bees products good for your skin?

Here at Burt’s we keep it natural — from the ingredients in our products to who we are as people. Since 1984, we have been the pioneers of natural skin care and that has never wavered. We have a reason for everything we put in our products. No unnecessary additives. When we use the power of ingredients from nature, we get incredible results, long-lasting ones at that. Your skin will be smoother, superior and more importantly, stronger. 

Are Burt’s Bees products organic?

No. “Organic” products must contain at least 95 per cent organically produced ingredients (excluding water and salt). The operations which produce the organic agricultural ingredients, the handlers of these agricultural ingredients, and the manufacturer of the final product must all be certified by a USDA-accredited organic certifying agent.

I am a Vegan. Can I use your products?

Some of our products do contain animal-sourced ingredients such as milk, honey, beeswax and carmine. All ingredients are listed on the packaging and website. Please note, many of our products are produced on shared lines, which is why we don’t call out vegan or vegetarian on our products.  

Are your fragrances natural?

Burt’s Bees now uses only natural fragrances — blends of essential oils and natural extracts.

Do your products contain artificial colours?

We use only natural colours in our personal care products and cosmetics. Some examples are beta-carotene, chlorophyll, titanium dioxide, mica, iron oxides and carmine. These natural colours have a long history of safe usage unlike many artificial colours that have been banned by the FDA over the years.
